What software users are looking for?

Today’s software products need to be defined, packaged, and sold in a completely customer-centric fashion. Users are demanding new and innovative packaging and licensing models allow them purchase exactly what they want, when they want it, and use it how they want.

Pay-per-use, floating licenses, limitation of installations per license key, subscriptions, partial functionality enabling/disabling, time/usage limitations - the challenge of managing and profiting from these models can be intimidating if one doesn’t have the right resources.
