European Parliament Rejects Anti-Piracy Policy

Members of the European parliament have rejected a policy suggestion aimed at tackling software piracy. According to the ?˘?‚¬?“three strikes?˘?‚¬? policy suggested by the British and French governments, individuals suspected of software piracy would be denied internet access. To implement the policy, Internet Service Providers would have to monitor the internet usage of its subscribers, and in particular the excessive use of peer-to-peer file sharing sites.
