Cheap in the Short Run, Not the Long Run

Apart from being illegal and an infringement of software copyright laws, purchasing a computer that comes complete with unlicensed Microsoft software might save money in the short run, but not the long run. The lack of access to the latest software updates and new features means that computer performance deteriorates over time, and with it, the user experience.
